City of Johns Creek

Johns Creek officially became a city in December, 2006. It is made up from six North unincorporated north Fulton communities, Newton, Warsaw, Ocee, Shakerag , Autrey Mill and Johns Creek.  Johns Creek is located in the Northeast corner of Fulton county and is the 10^th largest city in the state of Georgia. The city of Johns Creek is bounded by the Chattahoochee River on the south, Gwinnett county and the Chattahoochee River on the east and Forsyth on the North. Johns Creek has a population of approximately 70,000.  Some of the finest schools, both public and private, are located right here in Johns Creek. In 2007 Johns Creek was named as one of America's top 25 cities to live to go to school by Relocate America.

Recreation abounds here in Johns Creek. If you are into golf we have several private and public premier golf courses. St Ives, Rivermont, Country Club of the South and Standard Club to name a few. We also have the renowned Atlanta Athletic Club which will once agian play host to the PGA Championship tournament in 2012.
In addition we have the Autry Mill Nature Preserve and Heritage Center. If you enjoy fishing and boating we have the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Center. There are also 10 miles of walking trails in the city.
