Johns Creek officially became a city in December, 2006. It is made up from six North unincorporated north Fulton communities, Newton, Warsaw, Ocee, Shakerag , Autrey Mill and Johns Creek. Johns Creek is located in the Northeast corner of Fulton county the 10th largest city in the state of Georgia. The city of Johns Creek is bounded by the Chattahoochee River on the south, Gwinnett county and the Chattahoochee River on the east and Forsyth on the North. Johns Creek has a population of approximately 65,000. Johns Creek was named as one of the top 25 cities in the US by Relocate America.
